I've been using the PhD Nutrition Mixball Shaker for a few weeks and it works very well. The wire whisk mixes protein powder smoothly without leaving clumps, even with thicker shakes. Compared to other shakers I’ve tried, this one blends much better.The lid screws on securely and doesn’t leak, and the flip cap closes tightly. The red lid is easy to spot and the transparent bottle makes it simple to measure liquid levels.The 600ml size is ideal, giving enough space for most shakes without being too bulky. It is also easy to clean with warm water after each use.At £3.99 when I bought it, it's excellent value for money. It does exactly what it’s meant to and feels well-made for the price.

I have had this shaker for a couple of months now, and for the price, i was not hoping for much - it was more of an impulse purchase.Since receiving it i was very surprised by its high quality and perfect size, as well as the shaker ball that comes with it to help mix blends. It leaks on occasion, but this is only when the lid hasn’t been screwed on tightly, i haven’t yet had a leakage as the cap fits on and won’t come off.However, something i have noticed is the slight yellowing that occurs when you add certain flavoured powders like pre workout or clear whey, it tends to stain the transparent plastic the colour of which the powder is, and this does wash off pretty well, however after a few months of use the colour is definitely noticeable.In conclusion, it’s an absolute bargain for the price, and is an essential for any new gym-goer.

I was concerned about this product as it had the wire ball and I usually prefer the mesh cover (as the wire ball can be a nightmare to hand wash) - however, the ball collapses flat!
