Classic 1993 film unrated uncut based on the book by ira levin
I am a big fan of Sharon Stone. released in 1993 and based on the book of the same title. this movie has it all murder mystery and suspense. the cast is amazing. tom Berenger, William Baldwin, the film deals with the subject of voyerism. And the residents living in one of new yorks most prominent apartment buildings keep ending up murdered.the film has a lot of different story's going on between and around the residents of the building it would just take to long to explain the whole movie and i don't want to ruin anything for any one. Give sliver a chance. don't listen to all the negative reviews. you like to watch? don't you?!.

Sharon Stone is awesome
I love Sharon Stone. I understand how she got "type casted" but the woman is incredible at convincing me that her character is real and I love them all, all characters she plays. I believe her acting and I always root for her characters even when she is the "bad guy". Just love her.

Flat Voyeurism
Sliver is a high-rise apartment building in New York City. It is beset with creepy, tragic deaths. A recently divorced Sharon Stone is happy to be approved to live in the building. Most of the residents seem to be attractive and successful people, and several are unsurprisingly attracted to Stone. These are beautiful people who want to see and be seen. So, it doesn’t seem out of place for Stone to find a telescope in her apartment, and she and her friends promptly use to observe a couple in another building engaged in intimate activities—only to discover later that she too is being observed by the couple. They aren’t the only ones who are watching. We learn early on that there is a video system in the building: she and other residents are being watched constantly, especially in the bathroom and the bedroom. It takes much of the film to discover who is watching. When Stone does discover it, she too watches briefly. There isn’t the sense of violation or fear that you would expect. Although it is suggested that it could even be used for good, the film wants us to connect the voyeurism with the deaths. But the film hardly objects to voyeurism in itself, except perhaps insofar as the voyeur cannot participate fully in a relationship. This makes the voyeurism in the film largely unthreatening. So, the fear and horror that you’d expect in a film like this are absent. That leaves the film flat. Of course, Stone is sexy, but you can’t feel for her or any of characters in this film.
