ACANALamb and Apple Singles Formula Dog Food, 13 Pound Bag

This dog food is highly recommended by vets, however it would be better to have some carbohydrates mixed in to enable the glucose in the dogs system to have a place to go. It was recommended to me to add some dog food that has carbohydrates to help the dogs system. But at any rate, this if very good dog food, there are not the fillers and junk found in it that other commercial dog food has, My dog is 9 years old and acts like a puppy. The only other problem was it doesn't come in the small bits for little dogs and that presents a problem. I hope Amazon will carry that later on and this is very expensive dog food. I would recommend this food highly though. The food arrived packaged in plastic In a box. I was glad to see the plastic as I was afraid if it wasn't it would absorb orders and chemicals that wouldn't be good for my dog.

This food has been amazing for my dog. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could. He has food allergies and a VERY sensitive stomach. I've tried so many different diets with him, including raw and home cooked. Even when I found high quality foods that didn't aggravate his allergies, many of them bothered his sensitive stomach and that wasn't fun for anyone! Our vet couldn't find anything wrong with him besides his allergies - just said he has a sensitive stomach. I tried Acana because it's high quality and this formula doesn't contain any ingredients that my dog is allergic too. As soon as he started eating this food his stomach symptoms drastically improved! He really loves the food too, and gets so excited about meal times.

Love the product, but the re-close-able zip-closure sometimes tears across the entire bag, not along the plastic closure, either making a messy spill or rendering the 20+ pound bag useless for storing the kibble. So inconvenient! Be sure to have a large storage container standing by!

I own 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and of course I want the best for them. I have had them on other good dog foods, but reading the reviews of this, I thought I would give it a try. I loved the fact there are no fillers that just make them eat more and poop more. My dogs love this. Their eating habits have changed, they eat once a day even though the food dish is always available. They eat less because they are getting the nutrients they need with one feeding. Their weight has not changed, they seem to have more energy than before. I could go on and on, but this is the dog food Emily and Roxy will be eating from now on. It is great!!

This food was bad. My dog got sick. We through it away.

Both my dogs love it!!! I finally found a food both my dogs agree on which is a miracle. Their interest in other foods usually lasted a day or two and then they wouldn't eat it anymore which can turn out to be pretty expensive. This food has been gobbled by them both for 3 weeks now. It's also very high quality food made with fresh USA ingredients. Be careful when buying pet food. Just because it says it's "made" in the USA, doesn't mean it's ingredients don't come from China and it's processed here. This dog food has all locally grown USA ingredients. Will buy again for sure.

We have tried quite a few different brands of food, as our dog has food allergies. The Acana Lamb and Apple has proven to be the best. It has high quality ingredients, and our 11-year-old dog seems to do really well on it. Even though we've been using it for a couple of years now, she still loves it. We highly recommend it.

My dog suffered for years a severe food allergy. She got better after a long and expensive treatment. Since then, for the last 3 years, she’s eating the Acana Lamb and Apple combinación. She likes it and is doing well (no allergies).
