Scent:Eucalyptus Tea Tree Enjoy healthier hair with our natural shampoo bar. Formulated with the best organic ingredients that both your scalp and hair will love. Why go natural? Conventional shampoos are harsh on hair. They use strong petroleum-based detergents that strip the hair of natural protective oils. Silicone based ingredients are then added to give hair a glossy shine for a healthy appearance. Unfortunately overtime this may cause hair to thin and require more intervention. The natural choice… Our gentle shampoo bar cleans without stripping your hair of its natural protective oils. All the ingredients in our shampoo has been carefully chosen for their nourishing benefits. This allows your hair to stay cleaner and healthier for longer. Transition Period?... Maybe.
I'm not really sure how long the 'transition period' is supposed to last, but I gave it two weeks and it never got any better. My hair literally felt filthy for two weeks. It lathers easily, and smells amazing! But it leaves my hair with a waxy substance on it and it makes it very heavy and greasy. It also left a really gnarly soap scum looking wax build up all over my brush, that I've since had to throw away. Maybe I wasn't rinsing well enough... But I couldn't possibly rinse anymore than I had already been, considering my hair was matting in the water, post lather. I've never used a shampoo bar prior to this, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I don't believe I can continue using one. It's too much of a headache just to save a bit of plastic... So I've chosen a different route to conserve and canceled my subscription. With that said, this review is not for JUST this product, it very well may apply to ALL bar shampoos, but I'll never know. I gave 2 stars, the smell was great and it lathered easily, minus a star for gross feeling hair, minus a star for having to throw my brush away, and minus the last star for my hair matting in the water. Hope this helps...

Greasy hair - but good for shaving
As body soap and shaving bar, it's fine. The packaging is great if you are trying to reduce plastic. However I used it for a week as shampoo and my hair felt greasy and unwashed. I understand there is a transition period, but I was transitioning from another all natural bar shampoo (that I loved) not a traditional liquid shampoo. After a day or two, I starting using a vinegar rinse. I tried skipping a day between washings. My hair looked great pulled back in a bun - all sleek and no flyaways, but that was b/c it was greasy. I couldn't wear my hair down. I gave up after a week and bought a different shampoo bar.

I threw it away.
Let’s start with curiosity. I’ve always wanted to try bar shampoo, my hair is rather dull but not oily so why not give it a chance. I have tried to use this shampoo bar for six months now. I have looked online about rubbing my hands over the bar and creating a lather, to using hot water, the extra rinse, always taking care to follow the bar shampoo guidelines. Well get ready for thick gunk covering your hair from root to tip. You might as well grab some coconut oil, pour it over your hair and going to work for the day because that’s what you’ll be left with. Awful greasy hair for as long as you use this product. I attached a pic of my brand new never used boar hair brush. Look at all that wax. ):

Basically miraculous
I have baby-fine and elder-thin hair. It is stick straight but super easy to damage so prone to frizzy dryness at the middle/ends, plus my scalp is oily and sensitive. This shampoo bar is incredible, after one use my hair was smoother with oils actually distributed instead of concentrated on my scalp. After 3 days I was losing noticeably less hair in the shower and my hair stayed looking clean longer. A week and a half in and I’m in love, my hair is fuller and softer. Can not recommend this product enough!!!

... to give this one a try because it had pretty decent reviews
SO I've tried numerous shampoo bars at this point and decided to give this one a try because it had pretty decent reviews. I am really surprised after using the product. Let me start by saying this bar smells fantastic! I got it in the mail and my entire kitchen was filled with the scent of this bar, it was great. The size of the bar is substaintle in comparison to many others too. However, on first use I knew it wasn't love. First it didn't seem to lather as well as some other brands I have used. So it took a lot of effort to get a good bubble going. I had noticed the insert with the bar talked about a transition period which I thought was a little weird because I hadn't experienced it with any other brand. My hair was SOOOOO dry and icky feeling. I hated it. But I stuck with it. I used this bar for a couple weeks before I finally threw it away and went back to a different brand. The last straw was when I realized the amount of build up on my scalp. I was finding that I could scratch my head and get soap build up under my fingernail. NO THANK YOU.

Permanent Sticky, Waxy Residue
When I first got this bar, I loved the smell and the packaging. I really wanted to like this product, as it would be a cheaper alternative to the other natural stuff I get. The first time I washed my hair with it, I spent about an hour in the shower because I thought my hair was so greasy I kept needing more product. Turns out, the bar just leaves some sort of coating all over each hair that's completely impossible to wash out, unless maybe you have a different soap. Ironic. The residue looks like grease, leaving me with permanantly greasy looking hair, and it makes it take over an hour to brush out my thin, curly hair without ripping all of my hair out of my scalp (especially because the hair being sticky makes it catch and pull all hairs around it into tighter knots), and it then leaves a thin, white, sticky residue all over my brush. The only way I can think that this product is being shipped and sold is it must not have that effect on everyone, but I did see some had the same problem as me.A small plus is it does exacerbate my dandruff much less than commercial shampoos with sulfites, and my hair's certainly not going to be drying out anytime soon with it's waxy shield. I'm sorry, but neither these nor the smell can pull it up to a 2, though, a shampoo that does the opposite of cleaning is irredeemable.A small disclaimer, I did only try it a couple of weeks before writing this, but I used other natural products before so I think there is no reason I would have a "transition" period.

Smells AMAZING! First time shampoo bar user
Smells AMAZING! First time shampoo bar user, and I love it already. I was worried that applying it would be more time consuming than other shampoo, but it was not. Love the instructions and tips that come with it. It includes information on the transition period and how your hair may become dull, or oily while it gets used to the shampoo bar. Will be buying this bar again, and will take a look at their other products too. I'm trying to reduce my use of plastic containers, and this is an easy, and affordable start.

Waxy build-up
This shampoo bar smells amazing. But that’s the only good thing. I rarely leave reviews but I have to, just for this product. It’s my first time switching to a shampoo bar, and boy oh boy, was I in for a surprise. This takes some work to lather, so I used a foaming net. Problem solved. After working it through your scalp, you’re pretty much done cuz the rest of your hair gets matted together ( I have hair down to my boobs). I tried combing my hair before showers, didn’t work- the main body of hair remains one big tangled mess.Combing through hair is another issue, brush gets stuck after the crown, and hair gets pulled out. I was able to bun my hair up properly for the first time in my life but that’s only because it has never been so greasy and waxy.It is fascinating to watch the soap wax build up on my brush- at first I thought it was ‘residue’ from all the other hair care products I was using previously. Nope. Just soap build-up.I used this bar all the way to the very end, took me a month. Thought I’d get thru the ‘transition’ phase they mentioned. I definitely didn’t. Just used JR Ligett’s soap for the first time tonight- hair is back to normal, and even softer than before.
