Let me tell y'all, this shape wear is better than the gym! (Just kidding...maybe). I'm relatively new to shape wear, and was looking for something to wear under a tight dress. This pulled my waist all the way in! I'm usually a size Medium, but sized down to a Small after reading the reviews - and I'm glad I did. The Small has the perfect amount of compression and support. It provides a very smooth silhouette across both the front and the back, which I think is hard to find. The straps aren't the most comfortable - but I usually just tuck them into the sides of my bra, and you can't tell the difference. Definitely buy this bodysuit, and definitely size down!

Not Spanx but pretty darn good
This was a fraction of the cost of Spanx, but it's pretty comfy as these items go. The fabric was a little thicker than I wanted, but it holds you in nicely in the right places and wasn't binding at the top.

Does the job, reasonably comfortable, reasonably priced
I'm 5'2" and 185, the XL fits pretty well. I feel like I could have gone down a size for stronger compression and it might look better but it wouldn't be comfortable enough to wear all night. Leaves a little lumpy-ness around the bra strap but waist and hips look good. Easy enough to put on, nice that there are no zippers or super obvious seams that show through clothes.
