I doubt it. I think the back of the bezel would show thru. They aren't very deep.

They are available on Amazon. Search for "18x25mm oval cabachons".

Q: Can I use these to make embroidery necklaces? Does the frame separate to be able to do that?

The metal does not separate in half or anything but Etsy had embroidery hoop necklaces that would be perfect ! You can try that search on Amazon too but these unfortunately do not.
