3PACK Breathalyser Water Additive (1500 mL) | Pet Breath Freshener and Dental Care Water Additive for Dogs and Cats

We have purchased this product before to add to our dog's water. We have a six year old Cairn terrier who isn't a fan of having her teeth brushed. We add this to her water each day and it really has helped keep her teeth and gums in shape according to our vet! She doesn't seem to mind it in her water each morning. I don't smell anything when I open the bottle and I haven't noticed anything upsetting to her tummy. She has had her teeth professionally cleaned by the vet and for her age she did comment on how well her teeth look. So, hopefully this will continue with a good oral check up each time!

Great product and bundle. I got one from my dogs vet, but it accidentally spilled halfway. I saw this and had to get it. Individually they are more expensive. You dont exactly notice when the product improves your dogs breath, but somewhere after of the first bottle, you don't smell the bad breath anymore. I was looking for it but his breath is great now. We are now on the third bottle. My dog is 12 years old now and along with bad breath, he couldn't chew hard things. Simple things like hard dog food was too much for him. I did notice hes able to chew better since using this product. Not sure if its supposed to improve that, if it's a happy side effect, or a great coincidence but I'll take it. Overall super satisfied with this product.

I have 4 cats and 1 dog. All of the have tartar etc. One cat had to have 6 teeth pulled ($750) ouch. The vet recommended this water additive. It was $16 for 250 ml @ the vet. Amazon had it @ the best price. Can't speak to how effective it is yet but so far no more extractions. Since I can't speak to the products effectiveness I gave it 4 stars.

I have 2 cats and a dog, and they all drink out of the same water dish, so everyone got this treatment. I was mainly concerned with the outcome in the one cat with terrible breath. He is not a chewer, so tarter-removing treats won't work with him. (He used to like a particular dental treat but got tired of it after a few months.) He's had a few dental cleanings over the years, and they're horribly expensive. I decided to give this water additive a try. As some other reviewers have noted, one of the ingredients is xylitol, but it's a very small quantity. If you mix this additive as directed, you shouldn't have any problem. The directions note that you should replace the mixture after 24 hours - presumably because the mixture "expires" after a day - so I have been mixing a quart of solution and refreshing the critters' water dish with that throughout the day. When I first put it down for them, they could tell it was different, and they didn't immediately take to it. I made sure this was the only source of water for them, and they came around quickly enough. It's definitely not unpalatable. Bad breath is an indicator of a dirty mouth, so improvement in the breath was what I was looking for in smelly cat.Results didn't happen overnight, which was not a surprise. This product came as a bundle of 3 bottles, and I was midway through bottle #2 before really noticing a difference. Then it suddenly occurred to me that I hadn't noticed smelly cat's breath for awhile. I got up close, and he's now fresh as a daisy. This is well worth the trouble if it solves his dental hygiene issues, although I can't say yet if it will prevent future dental cleanings. It's definitely a good first step, though. And if it's good for this one, it's good for my other critters as well. My dog doesn't have particularly bad breath, but I'm sure she (and the other cat) have cleaner mouths now.Bottom line - it works if you use it long-term. Don't give up if you don't notice results after using the first bottle. And mix it according to directions to avoid the risk with xylitol.

Since this is an additive for the water that my dogs use, I have no idea about the taste.

At our Vet’s recommendation for our Beagle with oral gum problems. She was pretty uncomfortable. She drank it in her water as directed. It appeared to soothe her oral tissues and improved the breath odor. It made a big difference to her comfort.

I have been using this product religiously on my small dogs since the nineties. Their breath is sweet, they never need their teeth cleaned by the vet, and they never need their teeth removed.I use one capful per bottle of water and give them fresh water every day. I use vet toothpaste and brush their teeth once a week.
