ELEHOT Espresso Machine Coffee Makers with 15 Bar Pump and Milk Frother (Black)

This is the first time I write a review for a product on Amazon. I have to say this machine is amazing! In the past I bought espresso machines from both Breville and Smeg, yes- they are all good products, but they cost a few times more than this one. This time I wanted something cheap but decent for my life living in a dorm, so I came to this product. I've used it 3-4 times already, and it was very easy to use. I was surprised that I can even do latte art with it. One con: the plastic parts look not as decent as the Smeg Espresso machine I had, but again, it's understandable because of the price. Overall this is a great machine.

I knew at this price point that this machine was going to be pretty basic, and it is pretty much what I expected. The machine pulls decent shots, and I like how easy it is to refill the water reservoir. The steam wand isn't great, but it can do the job ok for very small amounts of milk. It takes forever to properly heat and steam more than about 8oz. HOWEVER, after only having this for two months, the steam wand completely stopped functioning. The machine still pulls shots, but it won't even turn on the steam, so that part is completely useless. I mostly use this for shots, but it is pretty frustrating to have a machine that only half functions.

I bought this to save myself money. I was stopping at Starbucks every morning to get my caffeine fix, on the way to work, but it was breaking the bank. I finally broke down and decided to try to make my own. I was talking to a friend and she suggested this model. She's had it for 4-5 months and hers works great. When I went to look at it there was a coupon, so I got one heck of a deal. I've always heard that espresso machines are difficult to figure out, but luckily there were customer reviews on here that explained exactly what to and what not to do, so I was able to figure it out fairly quickly. It works like a breeze. So far, I've made espressos and cappuccinos and they've turned out great. The milk steamer works really well at producing a nice froth. I wish there was more clearance to put in a traditional coffee mug, but that's not a huge deal. Overall this is a great machine, especially if you're new to having an espresso machine.

Really enjoying my espresso machine! Experimenting with all kinds of drinks. It took me a week to get everything just how I wanted it. The tamper it comes with is very flimsy. I ended up getting a calibrated tamper, which made a world of difference in getting a consistent result. I highly recommend that. Using good beans with a great grinder made a difference too. Overall, I'm very pleased with the machine!

This is a great espresso maker for a decent price. It’s intuitive to use and makes a good cup of coffee with a little foam. All the parts are plastic (The only steel part is the piece that holds the ground espresso) and the whole thing is surprisingly light weight, and as such I can’t speak for the longevity of the espresso maker, but it’s working real well right now and I’m very pleased with it!.

The ease of use, functionality, and quality are for the most part worth 5 stars. Slight downsides: The warming tray area doesn't really do much, the steam wand isn't really flexible enough to get the best ease of use and wand to frothing pitcher geometry for frothing, and taller mugs will not fit in the unit (we've taken to using a 4 cup espresso carafe then pouring into the tall mugs we like). Still well worth the money as the next unit up I'd be willing to buy costs 4 times as much.

I did not like that there is always residual water in the funnel after making an expresso. The crema seemed to cake up after about 30 seconds. This takes away from the aesthetic appeal. Customer service was via e-mail. It was frustrating and time-consuming because the company did not reply for days. The machine makes decent tasting espresso.

I have had this coffee for under 6 months now and my experience with this machine has been spotty at best. This machine has temperature control issues and easily burns the espresso coffee. The machine is not worth what I paid for and has produced more bad cups of coffee than god, despite using the machine correctly.
