It was exactly what we needed for my daughter's science fair project. It's copper wire. We ordered copper wire, we got copper wire. Malleable, conductive, and resistant to corrosion; it's wire, made of copper.

I LOVE this wire! I make jewelry and this is by far the best bare copper wire for the money. BONUS is that its coated with some type of anti corrosive lacquer which also prevents tarnish but can be easily removed with a quick dip in nail polish remover (acetone) if you are wishing to antique or patina the metal with liver of sulfur or other acidic measures. Pound for pound this is great wire. The only drawback is that it comes in only 2 other colors if you are looking for artistic wire, this isn't it. For colorful wire, this comes in only green or red for color, which is fine for Christmas... LOL. Working with this wire is awesome tho. it seems to be just the right temper.. not quite a dead soft, and not too hard. I really like it and cannot say enough good things about it

I wound a toroid covered with teflon tape to prevent shorting to the core. After one use windings had arced to each other. I had not reached any where near the rated temperature or current ratings. So thought this was a fluke so wound again with a new piece of this wire and it lasted about the same time and shorted between turns.Wound the toroid again with another brand of wire with the same ratings and it has been fine ever since. Obviously poor quality enamel coating.

Great for binding crystals

Used for physics project to build a dc motor. Used about 20 amps of current. Held up well. Anything more and the wire begins to sizzle.

I bought this to reconnect button pads on the PCB of a small handheld gaming device to their corresponding legs of the CPU chip and since this wire was thin enough I still managed to connect everything and close up the device perfectly fine. A quick note though: since this wire is enameled, you have to use your soldering iron to sort of burn away the coating toward the ends you plan on connecting.

36AWG is as thin as a piece of thin hair! That's the size of this thing so just FYI!I gave low rating because I cannot reach 1 amp with this stuff burning up! And, while they did give us ACCESS to both ends, it's just that, ACCESS! If any of it chips off, you're SOL! They should at least give me an INCH or TWO would even be better than this!Like another reviewer said, this is of poor quality and so cannot recommend! Should have read more reviews before buying!

It is fairly safe to assume that most will use this to wind onto bobbins and produce an inductance, however, it is worth remembering that AWG differs from metric, with which Europeans are now more accustomed. This wire is of quite high quality and if wound with reasonable care, will not let the side down. I've used much of my reel and each inductance has been accurate to the uH. A point to note is, this wire is as stated, it is cu wire, not copper coated wire, and this fact will ensure that your inductance is with a high Q. This supplier is trustworthy and you will get what you ordered, nothing less.

This is decent wire and is great value for the price. I have a few different sizes of this wire and it’s all good stuff. I would recommend any size as all the sizes I have are good. It’s decent.

Comes in a corrugated cardboard box that can easily be re-closed to keep the reel safe when stored. Wire secured in reel using thicker film wrap with the end easily found.

Just what I needed to repair some terracotta flower pots. I used copper wire to firmly ‘stitch’ the broken pieces together.
